Dear Colleagues,

Congratulations on winning one of the most extraordinary elections in history!

The American people have spoken and voted overwhelmingly to send President Donald J. Trump and Senator JD Vance to the White House, and return control of the Senate to the GOP. As we have planned and expected, the latest data indicates that we will also hold — and likely grow — our Republican majority in the House, even though we faced a map with 18 Biden-won seats.

The mandate that has been delivered shows that a majority of Americans are eager for secure borders, lower costs, peace through strength, and a return to common sense. With unified Republican government, if we meet this historic moment together, the next two years can result in the most consequential Congress of the modern era.

To truly make America great again, we will need to begin delivering for the people on day one. In preparation, we have worked diligently for the past year to be ready with a priority list of key conservative policy wins that we can achieve together with our Senate Republican colleagues, working hand-in-hand with the new Trump Administration.

We can secure our borders, prioritize the needs of Americans above foreigners, promote investment and opportunity through the tax code, return to American energy dominance, dramatically reduce regulations, expand school choice, end the woke agenda, and restore fiscal sanity to Washington — among other pressing items.

To explain this around the country, I've used a simple football metaphor: We will operate from our well-designed playbook, and execute those plays with precision, to put points on the board and win for the American people. We, of course, are the players who will make all this happen, and I look forward to the pre-game warm-up over the next several weeks.

The American people have shown by their votes that they are ready to turn from the misery of the past four years and embark on a brighter, bolder path that is marked not by big government, bureaucratic control, poverty, inflation and wokeness — but by liberty, security, strength, prosperity and opportunity.

I'm ready to take the field with all of you, and I am humbly asking for your support to continue leading this Conference as your Speaker. It has been the honor of my lifetime to serve with you thus far, and I look forward to playing the biggest offense of our lives. We have a country to save — and we will.

Onward,

Speaker Mike Johnson
Washington, D.C.
