SECTION 1. PURPOSE.

The purpose of this Revenue Procedure is to advise that a new 22-ounce denomination internal revenue tobacco tax stamp, 1 3/16 inches wide and 3 5/8 inches in length, for use in payment of tax on manufactured tobacco, has been recently authorized.

SEC. 2. INSTRUCTIONS.

Manufacturers and importers of manufactured tobacco desiring to use the new 22-ounce denomination internal revenue tobacco tax stamps may purchase them after May 15, 1956, from District Directors of Internal Revenue in the same manner as other tobacco tax stamps.

SEC. 3. INQUIRIES.

Inquiries in regard to this Revenue Procedure should refer to the number thereof and should be directed to the appropriate Assistant Regional Commissioner, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax.
